A Spring Soirée
Waltz into the magic and whimsy of days gone by with an old town hall dance. Enjoy a night bursting with vintage charm, springtime joy, glittering lights, delicious food, local wine and the warmth of community.
When? Saturday November 11th 2023, 7-11pm
Where? McLaren Vale Institute Hall (151-153 Main Road McLaren Vale)
How much? $60 online (here), $65 at the door
What?
Enjoy the smooth sounds of Adelaide’s amazing mini-big band, Capitol Swing, featuring Luke Thompson from The Idea of North. Bringing 1950s Hollywood glamour back to the dancefloor. Sinatra, Bublé and beyond.
Our fun, vibrant and charistmatic dance instructors will have you laughing and swaying across the dance floor in no time! Annalisa Zoanetti & Sigurdur Sigurdsson are the Australian Professional Latin Champions, undefeated 7 years running! In a 45-minute dance workshop, they’ll be teaching us the foxtrot, as well as a little bit of the slow jive! (Please don’t worry, the workshop is meant for beginners, so absolutley no experience necessary, and fun will be the main factor here!)
We’ll make sure you’re well-fed to keep your energy up! Expect tables a-plenty with home-cooked goodies, including dairy and gluten free options. Non-alcoholic drinks will also be available (we make a dang good bowl of fruit punch!).
Hither & Yon will have their scrumptious wine available for purchase by the glass or bottle (to be consumed on the premisis only).
Dress code: We will welcome you with open arms whatever you decide to wear, but recommend getting in the spirit of the evening by dressing somewhere within the black tie to cocktail/evening wear realm. So basically, something that makes you feel sparkly and wonderful. Oh…being spring themed…pastel hues would be delectable, if that’s your thing! And final hot tip, comfortable shoes for dancing are a must!!
