Step through the doors and onto the glistening wooden dance floor of the historic McLaren Vale town hall. The warm glow of festoon lights, cheerfully arranged flowers and a jumble of plaid shirts, cowboy boots, Akubras and swaying skirts are ready to greet you. Join in happy chatter with new and old friends. As the band’s lively music fills the hall - tap, slide and swing across the floor, fuelled by the buzz of community and endless amounts of laughter (plus an abundance of delicious home-cooked food!).
Don’t think you can dance? No worries mate! Dances will be ‘called’ by the band and are easy to get the hang of. Plus, when it comes to bush dancing, the more chaotic, the better!
Worried you don’t have a partner? Worry no more! Bush dances are perfect for this…everyone is included, partners often change throughout the songs…it’s actually an incredibly fun and wholesome way to meet new people :) We promise you’ll have an absolute cracker of a time, whether you come on your own, with a group of friends or a partner!
Funds raised are going to Chimneys for Africa, an incredible organisation bringing better health to women and children in Africa through installing simple but effective chimneys in cooking huts (3.2 million lives are lost every year due to cooking over indoor fires).
